We’re not Luvvies but…..

Before I get any more grief from the rest of the Diamonds , I’d better report on our recent gig at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough. It was fantastic. The near-capacity crowd were wonderful and gratifyingly enthusiastic.  They loved us (and it’s always nice to be loved isn’t it ?)  We had people telling us how much they’d enjoyed the concert and others promising to visit the Grosvenor . The manager of the venue was most helpful . The sound man was very efficient (spotted in the sound box bopping along to ‘House Rockin Boogie’) and the stage manager was happy to help us lug our gear – and quite a lug it was , 3 flights of stairs and seemingly interminable backstage passages before reaching the auditorium ! But this minor detail apart we couldn’t have had a better gig . We would be delighted to play there anytime ! There you are Diamonds , is that good enough for you ?

Now then , take note all of you.  Tuesday 23rd of April is the night when we welcome to the Grosvenor our old friend ,the fabulous Ray Stubbs . If you haven’t seen Ray perform in his inimitable style get yourself along on Tuesday .  You won’t be disappointed we guarantee !

What do you call a dozen drummers at the bottom of the sea?
A good start!
